He turned a six-night weekly volleyball schedule into a completely serious investigation of one man’s calendar, group chats, shirt collection, and stubbornly unchanged hitting technique.

- Commit to the Bit. Start with something true, be specific, and keep a straight face.
- What I tried
- John wrote a straight-faced fake sports-news article about playing in volleyball leagues six nights every week.
- What went well
- Starting with a true detail and treating it as a serious investigation made the joke easy to keep escalating.
- What surprised me
- Six active group chats, more than 100 Volo shirts, and no measurable improvement turned out to be useful reporting details.
- Final result
- A full parody feature published in The Academy Library.
